This spacious apartment in the King West neighbourhood acts as a pied a terre for a busy medical professional whose business and primary residence are east of the city. He desired a relaxed, casual environment where he could unwind, recharge and entertain close friends on the weekends. He also wanted to surround himself with the many personal and meaningful pieces he’d collected over the years, including family photographs, treasured objects and a library’s worth of books.

Deep sofas loaded with tactile pillows dominate the main living space, anchored by a richly veined wall of marble surrounding the fireplace. Vintage inspired light fixtures, plush carpets, and a monochromatic colour scheme all add to that restful, laid back vibe throughout the apartment. A dramatic wall of framed photographs is the backdrop for an intimate dining area, while a custom wood and steel desk provides a quiet spot for writing and research.
