Brookdale Avenue

This lovely family home in the leafy neighbourhood of Bedford Park had served its family well for many years but was in need of a dramatic update as their needs changed. The clients looked to Timothy Johnson Design to help them realize their dream of an open concept, light-filled home that would nurture their busy lives and welcome friends and family. Much time and care went into planning how each space would be used and how the new interior design could improve the daily lives of the clients and their children. Dividing walls were removed, windows were enlarged, and floors and walls were lightened, creating bright and open spaces. A calming palette of layered neutrals set against millwork in natural oak is energized with dramatic hits of black on custom furnishings and accessories. Carefully curated contemporary art completes the overall sense of sophistication and modern living.
